Liverpool (Anna Esteban)

Liverpool

Liverpool is a fantastic city in the North-West of England. It has a large waterfront with beautiful views to the river Mersey and the city.
River Mersey on the left.

There are important docks named Albert Docks. They used to be commercial  but now there are only a few ships and boats and many  bars, pubs, shops and art galleries.

Liverpool is famous for its music. An important and well-known group from here is The Beetles. You can visit the museum to know about their life, childhood and their music.

Liverpool, also, is a sport destination (football, rugby, golf, horse-racing…)

The Metropolitan Cathedral

There are two big cathedrals: The Metropolitan (catholic) and the Anglican Cathedral.

The city has lots of art attractions such as the Tate Gallery and the National museum of Liverpool.

There’re big shopping areas in the Centre where you can walk and find anything you like.

You can go to a pub for a drink or a meal, or you can choose a tea-shop for a coffee or tea. They eat at any time.

Finally, Liverpool is since 2004 a UNESCO world heritage site for its historic commercial port.
